1/8 scale Delta Submersible

The Delta is a small 2 person submersible with an operating depth of 1200 feet. It went into service in 1983 and has made over 5300 dives making it one of the most used and most effective submersibles built.

Our 1/8 scale model allows even the smallest details to be shown including weld beads and window screws. The large size also affords plenty of room for the technical installation and even a video camera.

The kit consists of polystyrene and polyurthane (resin) parts. The hull seal is ready made. Plexiglas windows and many accesories are computer milled. The ballast system is a rubber bag with peristaltic pump making a pitch controller unnecessary.

The completed boat is very maneuverable even at low speeds. The scale depth plane is quite effective and lets the boat rise or fall at a 20° angle.
